EACs: What and Why?
Employer Advisory Councils (EACs) are volunteer groups made up of a cross section of local employers who work together to help the business community operate more effectively and efficiently. Our commitment to both employers and workers is to:
- Keep employers informed and compliant as employment law and workplace requirements change
- Build cooperation and communication among employers across the region
- Give business leaders practical, affordable access to expertise they'd otherwise pay a premium for
Benefits of Membership :
-
- Stay current with changes in employment law through presentations by expert speakers at general membership meetings
- Get assistance on a wide range of employer/employee relationship topics through access to a management hotline
- Network and share ideas with other employers
- Use the group as a sounding board for workplace policies, programs, and procedures before you roll them out
- Design, implement, and participate in community activities such as job fairs, career days, and job search workshops
- Attend seminars that provide a forum for discussing shared challenges — hiring and retention, wage and hour compliance, leave administration, and more
